Greetings from Uganda!!

That's right I finally made it back in God's perfect timing.  I was able to finish up all my responsibilities in America and when that was done my entry permit came through.  God's providence is wonderful.

I returned on the 21st of June, and I jumped right back into the routine at the school, but I also jumped right int all the preparations for the Introduction of Pastor Tiondi's daughter.  It is a traditional meeting of the families of the engaged couple.  A lot of ceremony and traditions are involved. It's a long day a lot of prep of food and gift for the bride price--food, animals, furniture, clothes, and even spears.

Now that it is over I am trying to get things going at the school.  I am doing morning devotions and Thursday Chapel for the children.  I am also doing a Bible Study on Esther and getting ready for a Women's conference in Moyo.  I also have to get prepared for the next book I am to teach; Genesis.  I want to emphasize what I learned about the answers in Genesis that I have been studying since I was able to go to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum while I was home.

This Friday we will be taking the school children on tour (field trip) to the Entebbe Zoo and an Ice Cream Factory.  I think we have about 20 going plus all the teachers.  I get to go as the photographer so hopefully you will be able to see all the children's smiling faces in my next newsletter.

God is good and I have been able to go around Lugazi, renewing old friendships and making new connections.  Everything is different, but nothing has changed.  Hopefully I will have more to report later.

The school building is going well.  We have started many new permanent rooms and God is faithful in supplying the foundation stones, bricks and cement.  We also have electricity and a store at the school.  That sounds funny but Hey This Is Africa (TIA).  The children start their mid term exams next week and we will see how it goes.  They have been doing so well with the memory verses I hope they are doing as well in the other subjects.

Thank you for all your love, prayers, care and support.

Praises
1.    I was able to return.  I had a little trouble at the airport with immigration but the Lord took care of it.
2.    The Introduction was beautiful and the weather was good.
3.    The school is doing well, but we need more children.
4.    Conference and the Annual Meeting preparations have started.
5.    I am finally back on African time and able to sleep through the night.

Prayer Requests
1.    Travel mercies for Pastor Tiondi as He has to go to Moyo again on Friday.  He will be working with the church leadership there to prepare for the Annual Conference.
2.    Health for Faith.  She is the bride to be, and she has knee joint problem and pain.  This is not associated with trauma so the diagnosis is difficult.
3.     Finances for building and also to buy good study Bibles for the Pastors that will be attending the Conference.  This will help them teach the truth.
4.    Keep the false teachers far from us and not sneak into the church.
5.    Health for us as we travel and share the Gospel
6.    The upcoming Women's Conference in Moyo
7.    A very personal request, the Thompson Fire in Oroville is threatening my sister's homes and many others.  Even the house where I used to live.  It is moving into a very populated area. Pray that it can be contained and that people and firefighters will be safe.

Take care and God bless.
